Cedar Falls and Waterloo Vet Clinic Services
Varied Practices:
Our veterinarians have experience with a variety of pets. From reptiles and birds to small domestic mammals to canine and feline companions.
Complete Diagnostic Capabilities:
Complete diagnostic capabilities begin in the ”exam“ room" where your pet's health is evaluated. Clinical
pathology services such as blood chemistry, T4 thyroid levels, liver profiles, fecal and urine analysis,
ocular tonometry, radiology, EKG, ultrasound, bacterial culture and sensitivity are all done in our
hospitals so we can make a diagnosis as quickly as possible.
Surgical:
A modern surgery suite is provided with heart monitors, heated surgery tables, proper ventilation and
lighting for doing technical surgical procedures. CVVC is capable to perform general surgery services
such as neuters and spays, foreign body removal, repairing of nares and cherry eyes, and Tibial
Tuberosity Advancements.
Tibial Tuberosity Advancement:
Cedar Valley Veterinary Center employs veterinarians that are fluent in orthopedic surgeries. Tibial
Tuberosity Advancement (TTA) surgery is a knee repair process in dogs that allows for the repair of
cranial cruicate ligaments (CCL). TTA repairs stabilize the knee after CCL rupture. This is a great option
for larger canines with a lot of activity in their future.
Dental Services:
Dental prophylaxis and oral hygiene are very important to your pet's health. We perform routine teeth
cleaning, extractions, dental radiography, and gingival (gum) surgery.
Emergency Service:
Accidents or sudden illnesses can occur anytime. Our veterinarians are available 24 hours for your pet.
Vaccinations:
One of the most effective ways of protecting your pet's health is to provide immunization against various common and sometimes deadly diseases. We use the best combinations of vaccines for your pet.
Microchip Identification:
The Microchip is a tiny form of computerized identification implanted under a pet's skin by the veterinarian. Microchips supplement traditional collar and tag identification. They do not replace them. Once the chip is in place, it can be scanned to provide necessary information to reunite an owner with a lost or stolen pet.
Dietary Planning:
A sound diet is vital to the health of your pet at any age. We will help you plan your pet's dietary requirements essential for proper weight maintenance, performance and growth.
Cold Laser Therapy:
Cold laser therapy is a safe and effective method of decreasing inflammation which can help manage pain
caused by arthritis, muscle spasms, and other conditions. The process will also help stimulate healing and
is useful in wound management.
