Cedar Falls and Waterloo Vet Clinic Services
Complete diagnostic capabilities begin in the "exam room" where your pet's health is evaluated. Clinical pathology services such as blood chemistry, fecal and urine analysis, radiology, EKG, bacterial culture and sensitivity are all done in our hospitals so we can make a diagnosis as quickly as possible.
Proper Anesthetic Procedure:
Will your pet be under going surgery soon? Our patients have a full physical examination prior to anesthesia, and you will be given the option of pre-surgical blood testing to detect any problems before your pet is placed under anesthesia. Some patients receive an intravenous catheter prior to surgery. Inhalation or "gas" anesthesia is provided with isoflurane, the safest anesthesia available, and your pet will be monitored by our technicians and doctors throughout the procedure.
A modern surgery suite is provided with heart monitors, heated surgery tables, proper ventilation and lighting for doing technical surgical procedures.
Dental prophylaxis and oral hygiene are very important to your pet's health. We perform routine teeth cleaning, extractions and gingival (gum) surgery.
Accidents or sudden illnesses can occur anytime. Our veterinarians are available 24 hours for your pet.
One of the most effective ways of protecting your pet's health is to provide immunization against various common and sometimes deadly diseases. We use the best combinations of vaccines for your pet.
The Microchip is a tiny form of computerized identification implanted under a pet's skin by the veterinarian. Microchips supplement traditional collar and tag identification. They do not replace them. Once the chip is in place, it can be scanned to provide necessary information to reunite an owner with a lost or stolen pet.
A sound diet is vital to the health of your pet at any age. We will help you plan your pet's dietary requirements essential for proper weight maintenance, performance and growth.
